FAQ - Smart Guard

SmartGuard Night Guard is indicated for ages 18 and older.

SmartGuard® Night Guard is designed to be worn at night while you sleep, and should not be worn
for more than 12 consecutive hours in any 24 hour period.

Yes. SmartGuard® Night Guard has both OTC and RX indications that are cleared by the FDA.

All night guards should be replaced over time. The life of your SmartGuard® Night Guard depends
on how long and how often you grind your teeth and the force of your teeth grinding. On average,
each night guard should last approximately six month or to over a year. As long as you clean the
SmartGuard® regularly with denture cleaner, and keep it stored in water when not in use, you should
have no problem keeping your SmartGuard for a couple of years.

SmartGuard® Night Guard products are BPA free and do not contain latex.

SmartGuard® Night Guards are molded to your teeth, allowing them to provide a snug fit. However,
because SmartGuard® Night Guard is designed to be worn while you are sleeping, and no more
than 12 hours in a 24 hour period, you may have a difficult time speaking with it in your mouth.

We’ve found that when the SmartGuard® is stored in a storage case the air gets to it and turns it
yellow in a matter of weeks. So we recommend that you simply store your night guard in a small cup
of water next to your bed. This will keep it fresh and extend the life of the guard.

Our night guards are made of FDA compliant thermoplastic materials that are engineered to provide
the best combination of comfort, fit, protection and effectiveness. All SmartGuard® Night
Guard dental night guards are made of non-latex, BPA free materials to prevent allergic reactions.
